DESCRIPTION: APW - Waltham, Grade 645, 21J, 16S, 14K gold OF original W.W.C.Mfg.Co. case with exquisite high decorative appliqués of Masonic compass and scale set with 19 European and mine cut diamonds, center European cut diamond weighs approximately 0.30 ct, gold cuvette engraved "Presented to Otto F. Harms as a Token of Appreciation of his services as Worshipful Master from Dec 1910 to Dec 1911 by the Members of Lincoln Park Lodge No.611 AF & AM," white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, jeweled barrel, nickel damascene, s#17174048. Gross weight of assembled watch 59.0 dwt (91.8 g). One of the finest Masonic decorated watches we have seen, our galleries handled this spectacular example previously in 2015.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, mild fine scratch to escape wheel bridge; dial with some perimeter hls at 7, small hl above seconds-register, some light brown spotting of surface, some edge flakes between 5 and 8; nearly mint hands, minute is a bit short; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings, superb detail to Masonic compass and scale appliqués, diamonds of good quality; bow pivots freely and has some play to pendant, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
